Congratulations, Dick.
Two years ago I was able to pick up a 1903 Colt in .32ACP and it was my father's birth year - 1916.
Everytime I handle it or take it to the range, it inspires joyous memories of Dad.

Congratulations on your birthyear Colt! Anyone would be proud to own it. I have a 5.9 million M-1 Garand produced in 2/56 by Springfield Armory that is my birthyear gun. It is by far my most carried/used rifle.

My .32 ACP was made well before my time.
Good shooter and my daughter likes it too.
Finish is just about the same level as the one in your pic.

By chance, I picked up a nice Marlin 336 Texan in 30-30 that was made in 1960. My only birth year gun.

I have a K98 and a Mosin-Nagant that were made in 1944, the year before my arrival.
