Default A "new to me, church gun"

Well, the pics aren't the best, but you'll get the gist.... I bought a new camera and I've got some learning to do... Anyway, I really should have done a "before and after" series of pics on this one.... It's a model 10 2" from the early 1970s, I guess.. It was in "ok" shape but pretty "dull".... well, a few hours giving it a message and now, well, she's ready for church!

If anyone can help me with the production year I'd be obliged.... The serial # is D5674**.

Beautiful. Exactly what I was looking for but never found back in the day. I made do with a model 36. I still want one like yours but finding one inside the state is tuff. California's safe gun roster is a joke.

Yes and I like the feature where you click on the pictures and make them even bigger!

Truly a beauty. Imagine the days when gun counters were full of these babies! Nicely done.

Nice gun.

Your pictures aren't bad, and can easily be improved. The most obvious problem is white balance. Notice how the white background in some of the pics appears yellow. This can be fixed on the camera or in post-processing. Additionally, use the smallest aperture you can get away with to increase field of depth, making more of the gun sharp and in focus. Use strong diffused lighting and watch the hot spots in the nickel from the light source.

A Canon T3 DSLR.... Pretty much the "value line" for Canon, but it sure beats my old "point and shoot", I just need to use it better!

I finally got my nickel model 10-5 2" out to the range yesterday.... What a sweet little shooter! I just love the model 10s.... I've got a couple of them and I find them pleasant to shoot, they feel perfect in my hand and I am more than "accurate enough" with all my model 10s!

But, cleaning up the nickel cylinder face is not my favorite thing to do...
