Default M&P 22 RANGE REPORT

Well, I finally found out what my M&P 22 likes to eat. Today I tried the bulk 333rd Winchester white box on the suggestion of another member. It ate every one without a hitch. I went thru 3 boxes. I found them at walmart for $9.97 a box, which I understand is a good price. So, for about $20 for two boxes I get 666rds. $20 is what they sell the other bulk ammo for Federal, Blazer, and even the same winchester 555 rd box, which is right next to it. Thats the regular price, I thought it was on sale. Sorry, but I like a good deal. Anyway, I have tried the Federal blue box bulk 525. I was getting failure to ejects with it, it wasn't as powerful. The Blazers were powerful, but I didn't like the wax substance on the bullets and it was dirtier than the Federal. The winchester was more powerful than the Federal and just a little less than the blazer and wasn't as dirty. A good compromise. This is just for you all new M&P 22 owners trying to find out what ammo works for others. Hope this helps.

I use federal 550 from walmart. Out of 2000 rounds, only 1 FTF,2 FTE from when the wife shot it. I use the M&P22 along with my 15-22 for my local range ruger rimfire steel plate match. Shoots well and hits what I aim at. I love it.

Default M&P 22 Ammo

I just received my M&P 22 from Bud's yesterday and went to the range for about 20 minutes this morning. I cleaned the piece before going as it had a ton of grease and oil on it.

I only fired 144 rounds (12 magazines of 12)-----I used Winchester bulk 555 box, CCI Stingers, and CCI Subsonic LHP 1050 FPS.

It ate all three with equal gusto-----what surprised me was that it had no problems with the CCI LHP subsonics. I had some 710 FPS CCI at home but forgot to bring it---I doubt it could cycle with that small a load. Will try it next time for grins.

The MP22 feels great in my large hands , has a very smooth trigger and is just a blast to shoot----I talked myself into buying it as a "practice pistol" for my M&P 9 and 9C that I have-------and tomorrow I will buy the Brooklyn Bridge.

I am discovering that owning firearms is like eating potato chips--I just want to get more and more.

Appreciate the range report! I just finished ordering a M&P22 from Bud's so it will be at least next week before I get it. My brother has one & loves it, so he talked me into one! surprising that it will shoot subsonic ammo, I would never have figured that!
