are all j frame grips the same? i won a model 637 at a gun bash and want to change the grips from the ugly rubber to the old lookin grips you find on the model 36. the rubber one look bigger. lookin at these

As long as you're putting J frame round butt grips on a J frame round butt gun, you're golden.

Short answer, yep they're all the same.

J frames come in either round or square gripframe configuration, so no, they're not all the same.
