S&W 686-7 Stocking Dealer Special
I am looking for all of the information available on this model. I own one and it is one of my favorite .357s. This is the 5", 7-shot model with a bull barrel, but no under-lug. Mine has a Hi-Viz front sight and V-Notch rear sight. Does anyone know how many were produced?

I have a 686p dealer special that I purchased in 2000. It is a 5" hi-viz with full underlug and complete performace center action job. I too wanted to know how many were purchased so I emailed Smith & Wesson direct with the model and serial number. They were able to get me an estimate of how many were made and it was about 1200. The specials start with a certain limited amount and sometimes more are made depending on demand. I hope this helps.
