Default new 686 owner here with a few questions

Good morning, nice place you got here. Last night I picked up my first S&W. It is a S&W 686-6 4" 357 and I was wondering if someone could provide me with a link to a cleaning kit worthy of this fine piece. I want to take very good care of it and was looking for some start up advice.

I am going to browse around for more info. Thank you in advance for suggestions.

Welcome.
Brownells has several cleaning kits, here's one:
DEWEY : MIL/LE PISTOL CLEANING KIT - World's Largest Supplier of Firearm Accessories, Gun Parts and Gunsmithing Tools

If you're going to shoot .38 in the .357 often as I do, you might add a Brownells "tornado" chamber brush to remove the deposit ring left by the .38s.

Welcome to the forum. Pretty tough to beat a 686- it's a great choice for your first S&W revolver. Any gun shop should fix you up with a nice cleaning kit.Buy yourself a silicone treated guncloth as well.

I definately plan on putting mostly .38 downrange and some357 just for fun. I appreciate the input. Later on I'll post some pictures, maybe help me learn more about the revolver itself.
