Hello From North Texas
Hello everyone. I'm happy to have found this forum. Hopefully, I'll be here a long time. I am a long time member of several other firearms forums. The main reason I joined this forum is because I already own a S&W 625 and because I am looking for a M&P in .40. This is clearly a very established forum and it looks like the right place to be for learning more about S&W firearms.
I am a full-time police officer in the DFW area with 15 years of LE experience and spent 8 years on SWAT. I am a firearms instructor in several disciplines and have had some excellent luck in SWAT competitions and USPSA/3-Gun matches. I currently serve as the Training Sergeant for my Dept and am responsible for training new recruits and veteran officers. I'm almost done with my Master's degree in Public Affairs at UTD where my main focus is on local government management, public policy, and emergency management.

Welcome Texagator. When I think of North Texas I think of Lubbock and Amarilo, but Dallas/Ft Worth will do. Spent 3 years in San Antonio, loved every minute. Try the S&W M&P .40, you'll like it. Hoever, I just ordered a 1911 in .40........mmmmmmmm. But, WELCOME from Colorado, sometimes known as Norte Tejano.
