pre-war magnum info?
first things first, hello from NC, I am a new member and I would like to thank all of the people involved in this, I know from experience this is alot of work to answer all of the posts and mail you guys and gals get in a day.
Now the interesting stuff-I received a pre-war 357 mag 4"bbl
blued, kings sight serial # 60896* I know the star means it went back to S&W with a date I found under the grips 12-31-47
what is the manufacture date?

From the serial number it sounds like a non-registered magnum.
