Hi there, sort of new to S&W....
I have always been a Colt guy, but lets face it, Colt revolvers are not exactly getting less scarce....
So, since I have always had great respect for Smith and Wesson, and thinking of my Dad (a Colt guy) who carried a M19 on the job and all, I went ahead and purchased a few recently. They are older ones, Model 64s, a 442 no lock and a 19, and yes, they are great as I remember. Even better, I don't feel bad about them bouncing around in the lock box of my jeep, or sweat cold when a friend wants to go shooting and nearly drops a Python in the desert sand, all of which means I can enjoy them more in more places and confidently hand it over to a novice shooter and say "have fun!"
These are great handguns, and owning the 19 really brings back memories, great American heritage and tradition here. Anyway, good to be a S&W owner, this site has been great reading and I look forward to learning more!
