Model 66-6 and Performance Center
Brand new to the S&W community and can't wait to be an old vet here. My first hand gun to own is the S&W Model 66-6 .357 Revolver and I'm really liking it. It's a beautiful gun. Still have a lot to learn with shooting it. I tend to shoot down and away which is a new issue for me. Any suggestions? (I don't do this with other types of guns)
I've read some about the Performance Center guns but want to know from real people what their opinions are. Are those guns worth the extra? What are the benefits of the PC guns?
I'm a newbie so I'm willing to listen to you experienced folks. Thanks in advance.

Suggest that you post your question in the Lounge or search the S&W Revolvers 1980 to the Present sub-forums. Lots of very helpful people to answer your question.
BTW, Welcome aboard from WI! This is the best place to learn about and share all things Smith & Wesson!

Welcome to the forum.
PC revolvers are a bit more refined then most regular stock. I have a L-comp 586 and a F-comp 66-6 from the performance center. The L-comp is heads above a standard Model 586, plus holds 7 rounds. The F-comp is nice and I like the finish, balance of the 3" barrel, and the trigger...At the time I bought them they were not that much more than the standard models.
If you have the money, I would spring for the PC models.

DALPRO, welcome from North Carolina. My 625PC is my favorite gun. Its trigger is the smoothest I have ever pulled. They do a fantastic job in the PC.

Welcome from the pannhandle of West Virginia.
Sounds like you're squeezing with your whole hand instead of just isolating your trigger finger as you fire the gun. Could also be flinching in anticipation or the recoil. Lotsa time spent in dry fire practice could help.
