Default Brought Back by the J Frames
I was a strictly N frame guy until I sold them off. Having been in FL now for years I decided it was a fine time to finally get a small carry gun for a change. None of the small semi-autos really appealed to me. It came down to a Ruger LCR or S&W J frame. A range rental of both guns had me favoring the Smith by a large margin. This gun got me back into S&W revolvers:


I scooped up the first 442-1 no-lock model that I could put my hands on.

I love this gun/grip combination and the little revolver is shockingly accurate for its size. The sights are perfectly regulated out to fifteen yards. The trigger was good enough that it has been left alone. I can fire off about fifty full powered loads at a time before it stops being fun.

After purchasing the above, I found myself really missing the N frames and purchased a Model 22-4 soon after.

Albeit a little pricey my EDC is the 340PD no lock. I paid the price b/c I need to save every ounce I can due to back & hip problems. The only thing lighter was my LCP, which I gave to my son in law.
