One of the best red dot manufacturer's is Ultradot. A lot of people are also fans of the Burris FastFire series.

Thanks for the great welcome sorry I didnt reply sooner I was up in NY and pistols are a no no in westchester county.I have a winter home in Florida and am having lots of fun shooting.I just bought a s&w perfomance center 44 mag hunter. It came with a red dot but after 42 rounds fired the front glass cracked. It cost new $35.oo. I would have thought for $14.oo they would have included a better red dot. (made in China)
