Don't tattle on me
I'm kind of a Sig snob but recently I had to distract my girlfriend with a Shield 40 at a local store to get her away from the Glocks. I got to handling it and decided to buy it. I have been impressed with how dependable the Shield is and the short barrel is surprisingly accurate. 1000+ rounds and no issues. It fits me really well. I am actually enjoying shooting it more than my P226 and P220. Don't tell the Sig guys, they will pull my snob card.
Anyway, over the past few years I have visited this forum often as a guest for advice on shooting and hand loading, and have learned a great deal here. Since I own a S&W now I thought I would join and say hello from Oregon and thank the board. This one appears to be particularly well run and there is lots of good info that I appreciate here.
Best to all,
Mike
PS...nothing wrong with Glocks they just aren't my thing.

Welcome from Wisconsin, Mike! I won't tell a soul. I know just how you feel. I had two Glocks - a 23 & a 21 but gave them to my LEO son before we had a concealed carry law enacted. He carries an M&P40 on duty & recommended that I get one of that series for concealed carry. I have a full size M&P40 from former police service that I bought used & then I bought an M&P40C brand new. when the law was enacted. They're definitely superior to Glock but not by a whole lot. It's the grip!

Welcome to the forum from Virginia. No problem being a Sig snob - I love Sigs. I have a Sig P220, P228, and 716 - looking forward to a full size P320 in .45. My 220 & 228 are German made guns from the 1980s.
Also love S&Ws - my Model 41 and 52 are joys to shoot. I won't get started on the revolvers.

Don't get me going on the revolvers either. I've been looking but haven't found one that flips my wig yet. Unfortunately I introduced my youngest daughter and girlfriend to shooting and they dig it as much as I do. My hand loading time has increased significantly and I'm always cleaning guns...they both have itchy trigger fingers.
My shop is starting to look like a brass reconditioning plant. I thought I'd try to upload a pic of my bench to see If I could get that function to work.
The coffee cans are all full of brass:P.

Mike, glad to know you. Welcome from Ohio. Sig and Smith are both class acts. Don't you love having two kinds of frosting on your cake?
