Hello my name is Scott please ignore my screen name (Long Story) I am a long time lover of Smith & Wesson. I have used a S&W Model 1000 12guage for many years. I love my 6" Model 629 it spent several months at S&W last year to have the cylinders replaced / fluted so I don't have to hit the speed loader dead on / gaped to barrel. Combat trigger with stop. 20% lighter main spring, tune and timed. Muzzle crowned. I just jumped off the cliff by getting a Model 41 made in 1967 7" barrel with muzzle brake and one clip. I understand it came with many other items and will hop over to a "Want to Buy" Forum for any requests. Just shooting my much loved 629 has become an expensive habit being I can't reload my own ammo. So the 41 will allow me (Much needed practice) range time as a brick of CCI SVC cost me $35.00 at the shop I picked the 41up at Yesterday.

Again thanks for the warm welcome. It has put a big smile on my face to see so many Veteran's here. I never had the honor of serving however, my dream job brought me here outside Philadelphia. I supported the Naval Air Warfare Center in Warminster, Pa. As subcontractor for the DoD, You would find me all over the east coast and Puerto Rico. I spent 5 years supporting the AF*** on US Naval Station Roosevelt Roads. Damn good memories. Scott

Welcome from the Tampa 'burbs via NE Philly (Langhorne area). Lived in Lower Bucks County for 20 years until I relocated to the Tampa area to help take care of my elderly mother. I'd kill for a good hoagie or cheesesteak right about now.

When I was doing field service for the department of defense I would fly all over the east coast and Puerto Rico. The first thing I heard when I got there was always "Where are the soft pretzels and mustard??" I always took a case with me But there was No Way I gonna tote around 2 doz cheese stakes with me. The first place I dragged my family was Melbourne Florida. Scott

Depends. Usually Classic Pistol in Southhampton but not on a weekend night - they are packed with the dating scene. Clayton up by the air station but the old man is a bit hard to take and their range is really noisy - no sound absorbing material anywhere. Once in a while, I make my way up to Wycens outdoor range when the weather is nice.

Born in Mansfield. My sister lives down by Steubenville in a little town called Brilliant. I joined the Navy through East Liverpool and shipped out via Cleveland MEPS.

Yea Clayton's lost me before even seeing me. I sent emails to all the shops in the area to receive my Model 41. Claytons snapped at me asking me why I was not supporting a local store and buying off the internet. I asked nicely if they had a 1960's vintage 41 in house and of course they did not. Still I got attitude from them about range time. If they don't know me I can't shoot my own weapons?? I would be required to rent a 22cal and buy ammo from them?? I was waiting for the laughing to start but, they were serious. Never would I go there. I heard Classic Pistol in Southhampton was nice but, had a issue of a person shooting themselves so they were closed for a while. Now Wycens I have not heard of I will look them up, I don't care if its 20 below I got a model 41 to fire!! Thanks for the info. Scott

They are open for business. My only gripe about CP is they get so busy sometimes that it is easy to feel ignored. If you can go during the day, the crowds are not too bad.

Hi, Bethlehem Pike runs right by Ambler. Half of its is in Ambler the other is in Upper Dublin. I stopped by the gun shop over by the Willow Grove NAS a couple of times and always got a rather cold reception. Do I know the building in your post? William Penn Inn? Not sure but it does look familiar for some reason. Second thought Spring House Inn? Scott
