Default Pre-model revolvers

I recently had the opportunity to purchase two pre-model revolvers. The first is a model 17 and the second is a model 27.
Both have the original boxes and the 22LR model 17 has a date of April 1955 printed in the box. Both are 6" blued and have both been fired but very little. Condition of both are very good with just a little scuff near the muzzle from holstering otherwise the bluing is great. Not sure what coke bottle grips are but these have the diamond around the screw and are is near perfect condition. How do I know what a fair price is for these.
They are being sold by my friends mother who's husband has just recently passed and I want to make sure she is getting the right money for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks much.

Greetings from Virginia. As to your question of the Pre model 17 & pre model 27 you will get a lot of response if you post in the proper categories - 1897 - 1961, hand ejector.
