Greetings from New Mexico
Hi everybody. I'm a first-time gun owner who recently "inherited" an old S&W snubnose .38 from my father*. I have almost no experience with guns so I'm here to learn! I'll start a thread (in the proper forum) with photos of my revolver so I can hopefully find out some detailed info about it. I'm looking forward to absorbing your knowledge!
*My father is still alive, but he's 86 and in poor health. He realized his hands are too shaky to safely handle a firearm so he gave it to me.

Seriously, first revolvers don't stay single very long you know. I guess now with you on board, I'll have to keep a closer eye on the used S&W market around here (all seriousness aside).
That will always be your Dad's revolver, I know you will enjoy it. I always like to shoot the Colt .380 that my Mother gave me when she could not work it any more. So does my son.

Love those older snubs. Don't know your exact location but I'm in ABQ. If you want, contact me and we'll get some range time in. Maybe do a little pre-range safety/range rules session first since you say shooting is new to you.
