Default New to S&W and to handguns
Hey all,

My name is Chris and I just picked up a M&P 45c. This is my first S&W and being a recent transplant from NY to the south makes it my first handgun as well.

I'm excited to see what others have done to personalize and maximize the performance of their M&P's.

Also looking to explore the AR line and maybe take a class on revolvers, my girlfriend has a love for the old school feel.

Before you spend money tricking out your new pistol, shoot it a lot!

After 1,000 rounds, you'll have a much more reasoned idea about what modifications you might want.

Take some instruction in shooting and gun handling. You'll be glad you did.

Welcome to the forum! I'd second the advice that you should shoot it a bunch, before you start looking at mods or accessories. Also, training is a great way to get to know the gun, and how to use it well.
