Default New from Canada

Hi everyone. Been a fan of many different S&W firearms over the last little while. Hope to learn and contribute.

Ive got several different flavours and calibers of M&P firearms and a couple of revolvers too.

Cheers!

Welcome from Texas tacticalcanuck. Great forum for all things S&W, have fun, learn lots, share what you know.

Always grand to have a new member of the S&W family join in from up north.

Thanks! Very friendly place. I was going through my collection and realized that I own 7 firearms from this brand. So i must like em!

My go to for the pistol range right now is the M&P 40 stock range kit. At 10 yards I can clover leaf (not every time but it does happen) and i have only been shooting pistol for just over a year.

I read so many complaimts about them from couch experts regarding trigger and accuracy but I really dont have a 2k dollar kimber to compare against.

My advice to new shooters is simple. Get your butt down to the range and get shooting - its the only way to learn.

My cadence is simple

5 or 6 dry fires to ensure I am holding it right
5 rounds 2 handed x2
5 rounds strong hand x2
5 rounds off hand x2

Full mag dump

Then 2 round bursts
Low ready to site picture 2 round bursts

Then whatever seems like fun

Roll my own and took me a while to get it right but 180 grain fmj swc in front of 4.6 grains of tight group is the magic recipe.

Love my M&Ps. Dang it all this talk now i gotta go burn some powder
