Loves Movie Guns
Hi All,
I have been collecting movie and TV guns for the last many years, which means I seek mostly previous Stembridge guns for authenticity. Until recently, all those were that 'other' make, but just got my first S&W. Nice, since my main, modern, weapon is a S&W Model 64-3 SS that I have had for 30 years.
My latest is a real gem (bias alert) Model 2 Army dressed for the dance:
It was Lot 275 from the big 2007 auction, with rental receipt that it was used on THE LONE RANGER TV Show. It's most recent outing was in the gun case in THE WILD WILD WEST film (1999):
I think that whole board are retired star weapons from Stembridge, as the top gun is an Andy Anderson Buntline Special with stock, and near the bottom is McQueen's Mare's Leg. Those sawed off double barreled shotguns also look familiar. The only film use of this model listed on the Internet Movie Firearms Database is Kurosawa's YOJIMBO (1961). So, the research begins.
I hope in this vast forum there are a few other film fans like me.
