Hello there.
Recently got into S&W handguns. Bought a new 638 J frame and a Model 67. Sadly the 67 had issues right out of the box. It has timing issues (does not carry over on two chambers before the single action sear engages). Sending it in when the S&W pre paid label arrives.
However before these, I own and enjoy a couple S&W 1000 semi auto shotguns (standard model and magnum model)

Welcome to the S & W forum from Central Florida!
Is your Model 67 a 67-6 or a 67-5? Just curious since I just purchased a new 67-5 myself. I had my local gun dealer specify the 67-5, or one piece barrel when he placed the order for me as that's what I wanted. So far, mine has been wonderful!
I'm sure Smith & Wesson will get your new gun fixed up just like it should be.

Thank you all for the warm welcome. I certainly hope it gets sorted out. My 638 came out of the box bound up ....luckily it was just the ejector rod not screwed all the way down and easily fixed once I got it opened.
Maybe the gun rush of 2016 made a few extra things get passed the quality assurance folks. I have my old 6 inch Ruger Security Six to plink away with until it gets fixed.

I'm sure they'll get it straightened out. I love my 67-5 and wouldn't you know it, I have one of the new 638-3s as well!
Just so you know, we love it when fellow forum members post pictures of their Smith & Wessons.

The gun came in today. Took S&W 33 days to get it back to me. Now all chambers lock up before the hammer drops (DA) or locks back (SA). However, I wish I knew what they did because some cylinders still lock up earlier than others.
Not very happy, but I doubt S&W will do anything to it if I send it back again as it is safe to shoot, just not very indicative of the quality I was expecting for a gun in this price range.
