Hello from CA desert...
Hi! My name is Aiala (eye-AL-ah) and I live in Palm Springs, California. Before I moved here almost thirty years ago, I lived in northern Virginia, where I enjoyed target shooting with my modest but quality collection of both revolvers and auto-loaders, among them an S&W Model 29-2, a Dan Wesson Pistol-Pak chambered for .357, a Walther PPKS .380, and an S&W Model 650 with interchangeable .22LR and .22MRF cylinders. Then, alas, in probably the dumbest move of my life, I ended up trading all my guns away. 
Now, after missing so many years, I’ve decided to resume the sport, and despite California’s awfully restrictive regulations, am slowly re-building a collection. So far I’ve purchased two used S&W’s, a stainless Model 686-6 and a Model 29-3. I also bought a beautiful new Dan Wesson Pointman 7 and a Little Browning 1911-22 A1. I joined a local range to take some refresher courses and brush up on my skills, and am having a lot of fun… especially since I’m still a reasonably decent shot despite being a “lady of a certain age.” 
The guns on my “wish list” include an S&W Model 25 .45LC (old-style, no lock), a Model 57 .41 Magnum (also no lock), and a replacement Model 650, which is “off-roster” and probably unobtainable at any price. (Drat!) 
In any case, I’m very pleased to be here, and look forward to learning a lot from all the experts. Oh, and as you can see from my avatar, I love deep sea fishing, too!
