New S. Jersey gal in W.V. world
I am new to forums so I hope I don't mess this up  I am trying to find out what kind of revolver I have. A close friend of mine gave it to me as a gift. I am going to attempt to post some pics if all works out. It has no serial number and has parts missing I believe. I am hoping for some help in finding out what it is and if it needs parts and where to find parts for it eventually. Hope ya'll will be able to help this Jersey girl enjoying living in my country W.V. world. I am having a problem finding the photos I took of this gun so I need to take new ones and then upload them tomorrow. I apologize. Thank you for your understanding. I don't know how to cancel this either. Will upload shortly.

Howdy from South Carolina, and welcome to the forum.
Might find the Serial numbers under the grip.
There are some forum members in WV who might be able to point you in the direction of some local firearms assistance.

I think it's worth doing enough research to find out what it is, where it's been and if it can be fixed.
If you don't have guns and want a gun though, you can pick up a decent used gun for not a whole lot of money.
What markings/stampings ARE on the gun. Make? Caliber?

Remove the grips and look on the bottom of the grip. The s/n should be there.

Let's not get hasty! If the gun was manufactured before 1968 it may not have ever had a serial number. Also there are a few that require the stock(s) to be removed to find the serial number.

I was just joking about the reputation of folks from Jersey.
No harm intended. I get the Chicago "wiseguy" cracks down here all the time from friends.
She didn't stick around long enough to ask or be told where the serial # might be.
