Problem with Shield 9mm
Hello all from SC
I recently bought a Shield 9MM and just sat down to give it an initial clean and lube. I am mostly familiar with the M1911, so figured it would be that simple and it should have been BUT
After I depressed the yellow Sear Deactivation Lever and rotated the Take Down Lever; the slide is not coming off.
Did I screw something up with the Sear Lever? Is there something I am missing? Watched several videos and it was 1-2-3 and it's done.
Any ideas? Either I screwed it up, the weaon is faulty or I am missing something basic.

Lock the slide back, rotate the take down lever then move the sear lever down release the slide and it will come right off. Or just lock the slide back, rotate the take down lever release the slide, pull the trigger and it will come off....you can't hurt the weapon by pulling the trigger and bypassing the moving of the sear lever.
