New shooter says hello!
Hi everyone,
I am 54 yrs old and just bought my first ever gun a couple of months ago. Several weeks ago I bought my 2nd. 
My first purchase is my 627 revolver pro series with a thousand rounds so far. I have always wanted a revolver but in the plan was going to be a semi as well. Second purchase is my Shield 9mm with 250 rounds so far.
I am a professional martial arts instructor who has been practicing 39 years and teaching 33 years. It is what I do for a living so you would think that the idea of self defense with a gun would have entered into my life earlier but it just never happened. I did not grow up with guns at all so this has been very enjoyable and I look forward to learning more and polishing skills.
In the past I have participated in a few forums mostly car and motorcycle communities. This is my first ever gun forum and I choose this one because most of my Google searches on gun related topics kept showing this forum as one of the sources for the answer.
