Did I make a bad investment ?
I really need to vent here.Maybe someone can help me out. Last August 2017 I purchased a brand new 44 mag. performance center magnum hunter. First lets start with shoulder holsters for hunting. I am a left handed shooter and found a Galco Kodiack Hunter holster made for my gun {scoped b.t.w.}. Surprise, they don't make left handed holsters I guessing because left handed shooters are freaks ! Now issue No. 2. I have tried to find and and successfully order a UTG Leepers 1.25-4x scope with duplex retical scope. After messing with OPTICS PLANET for 2 mos. and 4 diff. shipping dates I finally was informed that it was on back order and would arrive 3-5 days.16 days latter I canceled. Now next up Amazon.com I found the scope and also a nylon shoulder holster that will work for me.I quickly made my order on May 17 2018 for both and was informed that these items would arrive by May 21 2018.Now I just tracked my order and it hasn't even been shipped yet ! I spent a lot of money on this gun and only want to use it.What have I gotton myself into ? This is beyond stupid. Can anyone help me here ?

Help? Sure... find a well established reliable vendor for your needs. You may have to pay a few bucks more, but that's usually the fee for reliability and quality.
Either that, or buy a side of hide, some tools, and learn how to make your own holsters like some of us have done.
Optics are another animal altogether. I don't know squat about how to build them. However, I would not even consider anything Leapers. Yes, they are inexpensive, and you do get what you pay for. The few that I've tried have not had very good sight pictures through the glass. Even adjusting parallax to achieve the best clarity possible, things were still a bit fuzzy.
Spend the extra money and buy quality. You will have a much better shooting experience with that .44.

Welcome to the forum. Try "Simply Rugged Holsters" for a nice leather chest holster like you are looking for.
Scope? I wouldn't put a cheap scope on a handgun that has any kick to it. You can find proven Leupold handgun scopes used on ebay in 2x or 4x for about $150.00. They have no question lifetime warranties. A variable power model would be a bit more. Unless you are shooting only from the bench, anything more than 4x is tough to handhold in a handgun.

INVESTMENT BEING THE KEY WORD.
I don't believe anyone here can see into the future & what MAY affect your investment, so I guess time will tell. Going by the increased value of older S&W's, they do pretty well. IDK about the newer or PC guns. I've sold a few used S&W's, 1 with a lock & 1 bottom feeder & made more $ than I paid for them, & got to use them for free. I'll give it a solid, probly, providing you care for them & DON'T Bubba them.

Thanks to all for the advise. Note- I only chose UTG Leapers because that's what Smith/Wesson included with the gun. Thought that because they included this with such a high priced pistol that it had to be of decent quality. On the holster side of things it does not seem that to many holster manufactures have gotten up to speed to this pistol.Maybe the demand is not there yet. This gun will hunt this season despite of these issues.

I agree with your last point. I doubt the demand for a left handed shoulder holster for a 629 Hunter warrants much “off the rack” inventory. Left handers being freaks has nothing to do with this. But I am not in the holster business. You certainly did not chose to go cheap on the gun, spend the $ on a custom holster.

Welcome from the bootheel of Missouri, the Show Me State and the heart of flyover country . . .
(I'm lefthanded, and finding holsters takes patience and perseverance, especially for unusual configurations like yours. I've always had good luck with Optics Planet.)
