I never intended to become a gun collector. But one thing led to another and before I knew it I had a dozen of them in my safe. My favorites are Winchester rifles and Smith & Wesson revolvers.
My first S&W was an old K-22 that I 'bought' from a co-worker by doing some land surveying for him. He valued it at $90. I was happy to take it off his hands and I think its worth considerably more by now.
Then much later, I found a .38 M&P that matched it pretty well, after I refinished the grips.
And even later I found a J-frame Airweight .38 to 'complete' my collection.
Complete? I don't know. I'm still looking

I grew up on the family farm in SE Missouri. My Dad taught me to shoot with a Winchester .22 single-shot. He passed away last year and I now have that 22 in my safe along with two more of his guns.
