Recovering anti-gunner from SoCal
Hello forum friends!
I'm writing you from North-Central Florida. I just returned here after 25 years in Southern California (LA). I'm back, but my heart is still in LA.
Man, do people ever bash Cali ! Gun afficionados and far-lefties alike, they all trash my adopted home.
You don't know what you're missing! Who says you can't concealed carry? Just find a small city (there are 88 of them in LA County), introduce yourself to the police chief, then introduce him to an "aspiring actress" and leave the two to get to know each other. You'll have your CCW!
Please don't take that as a dig at law enforcement. I have utmost respect for LEO's. Just saying what I've seen in my 20 years on "the other side."
Which brings me to my subject. I am a recovering gun-grabber. If you gentlemen on the forum think it's appropriate, I'd like to use this space and your help to get some recovery therapy. The anti-2A world is a world of brainwashing, and growing up in it leaves scars on the psyche.
I am wracked with guilt right now over buying my first firearm, a big, fancy Smith & Wesson N-frame.
If anyone is interested, I'd like to start a conversation about deeper political/2A issues, so you all can see what the mentality of the other side is, from an "insider:" Me!
Would that be interesting to you all?

Welcome to the forum. All I can say is don't violate any sticky's. You might try the "Lounge" and see if the moderators leave it there or move it to where they think it should be.

If you'll read the rule book, you'll see that there are no political discussions allowed on this particular forum. I got dinged for a political statement early on in my start here. I think you'll have better luck only discussing the S&W's you're interested in. This is the best place for that type of information. Just stay clear of politics and political opinions. There are other forums that will allow that topic, just not this one.

Welcome to this great forum.
Here in Arizona, we welcome ex-Californians IF they are coming here to escape high taxes, nanny-government, extremely restrictive gun laws, skyrocketing cost of living and "we know best how to spend your money" politicians.
On the other hand, if people from California are coming to Arizona with an attitude that they want to Californicate us, the welcome mat is snatched. We are a free state and very much want to remain that way.
