Default Hello From Northern Cali
Hello I've been lurking awhile on this forum and wasn't sure if I made a introduction.

I'm a fan of Smith & Wesson third generation .45's .
I recall reading an article in the late 1990's, Gun's & Ammo about the S&W 4516 written by Massod Ayoob. I was intrigued and soon purchased a SW 4516. I had such bad luck with this pistol from FTF, FTE that I promptly returned it to the gun dealer for a refund.

I was disappointed that it had problems and decided to give it one more try with the updated S&W 4516-1.
I currently still have this S&W 4516-1 that I have owned brand new from the late 90's. It is one reliable gun and I have put several thousand rounds through it. The gun is a bit on the heavy side compared to the polymer guns so it serves me well as my home defense gun.

I have been reading up on the MP 9mm shield compacts and will eventually may add one to my collection.
