Hello fellow S&W enthusiasts,
I recently purchased my first S&W revolver. It is a 586-3 .357 magnum with the serial no. BFH6466, shipped in November of 1990.
Growing up, I was always fascinated by my grandfather's WWII service sidearm, a S&W Hand Ejector 2nd Model, which is still in the family. The 586-3 therefore caught my interest from the moment I saw it. Just holding it one time, sealed the deal. In terms of build and finish quality, it feels that it is in a class of its own.
The gun is used, but in excellent working condition and very well maintained/serviced. I think it makes for an excellent collection piece as well as a fun and accurate range shooter.
