Greetings from the Hudson Valley of NY
Hello from one of the most anti-gun states we have in this great Country (and it's not a competition I want to win). I'm new to the forum and new to "collecting" S&W, but my first firearm was a S&W K frame in 1980. When I say new to "collecting", I mean I have a good number of S&W firearms but I've just started acquiring the antique models that I will never shoot. I guess subconsciously I've always distinguished between shooting (and being a shooter) and collecting (and being a collector). I just hope I end up being a better collector than I am a shooter.

My home county is Rockland. While NY is a very constrained area,I've always found a ton of old S&W wheel guns running around the area.

Welcome from the people's republic of N. VA./DC. Lived in Warwick about 20 years so know what you mean about oppressive gun laws. Orange county is or at least was one of the more gun friendly counties in the HV. Not too sure that's still the case. Regardless, you stumbled upon the mother load for all things S&W on this forum.😀
