FNG noob here
Hey folks, Jim from NC here! Retired from career and VFD Fire/EMS after 38 years.
Definately an FNG when it comes to the AR platform. My sweet DW allowed me to purchase a combo birthday/Christmas gift of an AR so I went with a Sport II.
Already have an issue with it and am looking for expert advice. I'll be posting in the proper thread shortly. Thanks in advance and glad I found the forum!

Welcome BigCountry 99 from the heartland of Kansas. Being retired army I know what an FNG is. If its your first ar and its giving you fits use more oil!!!!!! them things love oil...…..

Hi ! I dealt with FNGs in the fire service for many years.
Believe it or not, re: "use more oil", it's not an internal problem, even though the first 3 rounds out of it jammed, it's an external problem. My gas block was installed crooked and the rail on it does not line up with the rail on the upper.. Going to post a couple pics here ASAP.
