Howdy,
Has anyone used the Winchester autocomp for anything?
I am probably most interested in heavy pin loads for 45 or light steel loads for 9mm but I'd like to hear how much you use and where it puts you.
Thanks a million
Mike
I purchased (2) 1# containers basically employed it with the Precision 125Gr-LCN & 125Gr-FMJ in the 9mm-Luger. The charge weights are from Hodgdon data source loading tables. Basically split the difference between staring loads and maximum for both bullet types. There were no functionality problems either with the Glock G-17 or S&W MP9. Don’t have a chronograph can’t say what the MV is or was. Shot some plate matches using the AutoComp loads. I’ll use up the AutoComp and return to using W231.
Thanks Dennis,
I have the two pounds and dont quite know what to do with it.
For years Bullseye and Unique have filled all my needs for pistol powders.
I might work up a heavy pin load and use it up in the .45 comp gun.
Maybe it will live up to it's name.
A couple of pounds will run the pin gun for 2-3 seasons.
Thanks for the reply
Mike
