Anyone know of a good source for 9mm JHP Bullets?
Anyone know of any in stock??
I need to test some guns to see if they feed JHP ammo well. Buying JHP ammo is too expensive so I want to load some 115gr or 124 gr. Speer Gold Dots or Hornady XTPs. either or makes no difference to me.
Regular bulk Win or Rem bullets would be fine also.
I found some at Natchez but am only going there as a last resort.
Thanks

Check out Zero bullets, I use their 158 grain jsp for my 357's.
Roze Distribution, Inc. - Zero Bullets and Ammunition
Just checked out their site and it looks like a 6-8 week wait. Good bullets though.

I recently purchased some Zero bullets from a distributor in Nevada, who, was selling on GunBroker. When everyone else seems to be out of stock, someone on GB will have bullets for sale. Just my .02

The Zero bullets look like a good price but as you say a long wait.
I was looking for around 200 or so. I want to test some defensive guns.
I usually just shoot lead or plated for punching holes in paper.

Not all JHP are the same so testing a XTP or GD only tells you your gun will feed THOSE bullets. Regardless fo cost, you need to test the exact ammo you carry, at least 1 full mag each carry mag. It's the only way to know for sure.

How many do you need? I have a couple thousand 147 grain Gold Dots. My supply has dried up but I would part with 100 if you needed them.
My XTPs are the 135 grain which I think have been discontinued so those won't help.
I might still have one case of Winchester 115 JHPs. These are the same projectile used in the silver tip, but not nickel plated. I will have to look for them as I do not load that weight too often any longer. .

You are absolutely correct. I wanted to test these guns for HP's in general. As you mentioned I, usually will shoot the entire box less one or two magazines worth.
A lesson learned from carrying a baby Seecamp 32ACP. Even put every round on a caliper to check OAL.
I had another thread going here on a failure of some Hornady Critical Defense 115 gr. So I am in data collection mode Gets expensive using factory ammo.
My usual carry ammo is Gold Dots or Rem Golden Sabers
Colt-saa,
Appreciate the offer but I will find some. Actually have never shot 147gr, 9mm. I was going to post a separate thread on just that. Why do 9mm bullet weights jump from 124 up to 147?? Why isn't there something in the 130'ish weight class? Like a 38 special, 135gr???? Just curious.
