Default .38 Special/Red Dot Loads

Any of you have some favorite 158 grain SWC handloads using Red Dot?

Book calls for 3.1grs but I load mine with 3.2grs Red Dot for 750fps out of my gun. 158gr LSWC 1.425" OL.

FWIW, my experiments with Red dot and 158 gr LSWC were in the same range as those already presented. That said, I could never get VG consistancy out of red dot for 38 spl loads. I also used to get allot of unburnt powder/ash spitting out of the gun. I hope your experience is better but if not, switch to Clays and you'll be VERY pleased.
