Is Bullseye a ball powder, flake or extruded?

Bullseye is a flake powder. Real small flakes that meter very well.

Bullseye is one of the most universal pistol powders. It meters very well in every powder measure and my Dillon 550. The pluses are voluminous reloading data used for more than a half century. The only minus is that some of the newer powders are a bit cleaner burning.

I have used only Bullseye for all of my pistol loads for the last 25 years in my Dillon 550. That's 38spl DEWC for my model 52, 158 gr RN and SWC for 38 and 357, 185 SWC, 200 SWC and 230 SWC and RN 45 ACP's. I feeds very accurately and consistently. There is a whole lot of loading data available for it, probably because it works so well. The only other powder I have on hand is 748 for my 223's.

I love Bullseye powder, it meters very well and is consistent, accurate, and not too terribly dirty. Because of the very small volumes, however, it is not a difficult thing to get a double-charge, and if you do watch out!! I'm pretty careful when I load with it, especially on a manual/progressive press like the Dillon550B. Be very careful, don't allow yourself to become distracted during reloading sessions, use consistent methodology/technique while loading, and check the measure fairly frequently to make sure the adjustments are holding.
PS: I also like 748, have found excellent loads for it in the three rifle calibers I reload the most, the 223, 308 and 45/70. It is a ball powder and meters very well also. I've found that the magnum primers that are frequently called for with 748 have not been necessary in my experience, that standard ones work fine too.

I have used a bunch of Bullseye over the last 35 years but have abandoned it in favor of Hodgdon Clays. Bullseye is just nasty dirty. There are other good powders, HP38, Winchester 231, Titegroup.

I've used it for over 20 years and go back to it consistently, even after trying other powders. Meters well, provides outstanding accuracy in all the calibers I load for, from .32 S&W Long to .45 ACP. For those who complain about it being dirty, who cares? You do clean your guns, right? You want squeaky clean, get an Airsoft.

Bullseye; very accurate, ecomonical, versatile, and consistent through all power ranges.

BEye is a good powder for non-magnum rounds. lately though I've developed a fondness for the bulkier and cleaner Red Dot for cast slugs and jacketed in short barrels.

Started with 3.5gr of Bullseye under a 158gr LSWC in 38spl for a target load and haven't seen any reason to change over the past 20+ years.
I use it in the 45ACP with plated and lead bullets and it has never let me down. Our range load for either Berry or Ranier plated 230gr plated bullets is 4.7gr with an OAL of 1.265".
It gives us, my son, a friend and I, just under 800fps from a 1911/G21 platform. This closely mimics the ballistics of Fiochhi 230gr ball ammo.
Makes nice groups.
The targets are from an actual indoor PPC match. The one on the left is from the 7 yard line and the right is from the 20. The first course of fire is 12 rounds in 18 seconds, standing, two handed with a mandatory reload. The right target course of fire is 18 rounds in 70 seconds, 6 standing, 6 kneeling, 6 sitting. The firearm used was the one in the picture, a Taurus PT1911 and it is stock out of the box.
Not bad for a $450 firearm!
Hope this helps!

Very good shooting. I will try your load with some Berry bullets that I have in a 5" 1911.
