I am shopping for bullets, and see many choices. Some on this forum have recommended Black Bullets, Int. as a source. Most of the lead bullets for sale have the familiar blue lube filling the groove around the lower part of the bullet, the Black Bullets do not. So the question is do Black Bullets not have to be lubed, or is this a "do-it-yourself" process?

A: We use a proprietary solid dry film lubricant. This is similar to the moly/poly coatings on the market but is much tougher. We bake the coating onto the bullets, then restrike the bullets in carbide dies after the coating is applied.
You can fire our bullets at over 2000 feet per second with no leading and no copper fouling and no messy lubricants.
The tough coat protects the bullet from damage and is a natural lubricant. It keeps the bullet at tight factory dimensions and goes through the bore intact.
