Default Can't find any Alliant Power Pro 300mp

Has any one tried this new powder? It's sorta like Lil-gun. Can't find it around here as yet. Don't matter though for there isn't any data for the 41mag.

I just learned Handloader Feb 2010 issue has something on it, well come to find out, I don't have this issue. If you have it would you look to see if there's any reference to using it with a 41mag and maybe PM me the load info?

Thanks,

It's 2021..11 years later. And STILL no data on this propellant and the .41 Magnum.

Hodgdon's Relative Burn Rate chart shows Lil'Gun (#62), then H110 (#63), WIN 296 (#64), IMR4227 (#65), then Power Pro 300MP (#66); Lil'Gun is the faster and 300MP is the slower.

I've been using it for my full-bore .357 loads for a while, I bought a couple of pounds when I couldn't find WIN 296. It measures more like WIN 296 and H110 than it does Lil'Gun, and gives some big velocities when loaded near max in the .357 pushing a 158 JHP. I like it fine, and have thought about starting at 18.5 grains for a 210 XTP or Berry's plated, for my M57. That would put it between the starting loads for WIN296 and H110 in the Hornady 10th Ed book. It's well below the max of either powder.

I found a post on the "other" S&W forum from 2012 with someone who's loaded for the .41M I don't know how to single out a post, but here's the link to the page, it's post #16, and he's the thread OP.

Edit: when I tried the link, it won't take you there, so .....

Works well in the 357 max contender but there is no load data printed. Work up loads as you would any non canister powder for that.

I have 4 lbs unused, and >1 lbs slightly used, if OKC isn't too far away.
