Any good PPC-9 load info out there?
Does anyone have a good 50 yard load for the PPC-9 using a 124 grain Montana Gold bullet?

Palmetto, you get any intell yet?
There was an LEO shooting next to me one match shootin a 5" swppc and he was shooting 115 blazer and shot well or wayy better than me with reloads.
I am goin to toy with 124 xtp and wsf. I was given a receipe I don't have handy....but I am going to start lower and work my way up with my 1911 ppc 5".

No responses yet. I'm shooting 4.4 grains of Bullseye right now. I haven't tried it at 50 yards yet. If I could tone it down a little without losing anything, I would.

Palmetto
using the Sierra info
4.4 B/E out of a 4" is 1050.
4.6 of American Select at 1050 (4") was the most accurate load tested.
using the Speer data
4.4 B/E out of a 5906 1059FPS is max.
using the Alliant data
4.9 B/E max out of a 4" 1155fps (32K PSI)
the load suggested to me
124XTP, 5.5 WSF 1.142"OAL
my book shows 5.3 as max.
I was going to start at 5.0
have not had time to play with that load.

PPC 9 Reloads
Shoot 147 grain Factory loads at the 50. Use Reloads for practice and 25, 15 and 7 yrds. Start with a "slow" powder and 147 grain bullets. I use WSF powder and Federal Match Primers. Watch the recipes for velocity and OCL for your bullets. You want 950 to 1000 FPS. Bullet seating is critical since you are at the top of the pressure. Bullets seated too deep will put you way over on pressure. Keep em in the X ring!
