Default Will .45 auto dies work for .45 auto rimmed?

I was given some .45 auto rimmed reloads to try in my M37 Brazilian. Some worked, but others seemed too fat near the bottom and would not go completely into the cylinder without force. I will start reloading for this pistol, but want to know what dies to purchase. Will the .45 auto work?

snoopdawg is right. Most dies sets come labeled for .45 ACP/.45 AR right on the box. As he said, you just need the correct shellholder, which isn't used for any other round.

The problem may not be with the base of the cartridge. Here is what I have had happen with my M625JM. Seating to normal OAL with large, .452" + bullets, either the ogive or front driving band will contact the cylinder throat and not seat real well.

The chambers on my particular gun seem to be kind of tight. The throats measure .451" and that is good. My cast bullets are sized to .452" though and mostly are LSWC in design. Ones with extended front driving bands, like a Keith style bullet. If I was to seat over the end driving band, all would be OK. What I decided to do was seat just a tad deeper and use a taper crimp. Seems to work well in my firearm.

If you have a bullet puller, pull one of the bullets and stick the empty case in the chamber. If it seats all the way, you are having the same problem.
