Has anyone had good results using HP-38 for 148 gr HBWC in a 52-2 ?

Use 3.1gr of H-38 which is the same as Win231

Great, I just loaded a bunch with 3.2gr of 231, now I fell better. I have always used Titegroup before.

My favorite .38 Special 148gr Wadcutter round is made with 3.4gr W231/HP-38 but I have shot many 148gr WC rounds using 3.2gr of W231 too. I hope a light charge of 3.1gr will cycle the slide. If not up the charge a bit...

Make sure the bullet is flush with the case mouth. Anything longer probably won't fit in the magazine.
