9MM Personal Defense Preference
Going to roll my own 9MM PD rounds. In order of best to worst, how would you rate these bullet selections.
Speer Gold Dot 124gr JHP
Rem Gold Saber 124gr JHP
Hornady XTP 124gr JHP

I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Use whatever feeds best.

The are all top of the line.
I use Speer Gold Dots and Rem Golden Sabers. I just buy a 50 round box of Factory loaded Law enforcement for actual carry. I have all three bullets only for loading for practice.

I'm a cop and carry 9mm as a BUG and sometimes I select a G34 for a duty weapon. I would not be worried with any of those three bullets. My first choice, however, would probably be Gold Dots.

Thanks for the input everybody. I've had experience with the Hornady in 45 ACP so I think I'll stick with those for the time being.

If you're rolling your own 9mm self-defense loads, may I strongly recommend taking a look at Ramshot's Silhouette powder? Good velocity and very low muzzle flash.

All are good bullets but for PD, I would use factory rounds.

I love your first choice......... SPEER! (JHP)
that is what I use as well... for my Personal SD round (.45 version)
On duty I carry a 9mm (S&W M&P 9mmPRO) and our round is
the Federal Premium tactical bonded LE 124gr (JHP)
both great! IMHO

I load the Rem GS 124gr JHP over a +P charge of Power Pistol for my 5906, a nephew's 915, my Marlin Camp 9mm and nephews kel-tec 9mm carbine.
you should see the damage done to 6X6" spruce block @ 100'. large hole blowed thru from the carbines.
