Default Pacific Powder Measure

I was cleaning out a closet today and found an old box in the floor that had Pacific Tool Company-Div of Hornady on it.Inside was a like new Pacific Measure with the sliding bar/ bushing setup. Are these measures accurate and can you still buy bushings for them?

I do believe Hornady listed a version of that measure until a couple of years ago. I am certain that bushings are still available.

Heck, I can still get bushings for my CH Tool and Die measure- and it's nearly ancient (1950's or 1960's )!

Thank you! I am just wondering if buying the bushings would be worth the cost;I found some for about 5 bucks apiece!!

Well, yes I believe they are worth it. These measures throw very consistent charges.

It isn't necessary to have every size- just the ones that throw the charges that are needed.

That Pacific pistol powder measure is a great find! I have been using one for at least thirty years and have every bushing they made for it. Hornady discontinued their newer version of that measure a year or two ago, but as somebody mentioned, bushing are probably still available and they will fit the measure you have. You might also check on Ebay because the bushing occasionally show up there. The only disadvantage of the measure is that it will not throw magnum charges of most powders. However, I probably use mine for 90% of my handgun reloading.

Default Pacific Pistol Powder Measure

50 years of reloading...
Pacific Pistol Powder Measure.
If you don't want it, I'll take it.

I have the same blue powder measure by Pacific and all the discs that go with it. It is as accurate as any powder measure can be.
I bought a new HORNADY Pistol Powder Measure but, did not like their cut to accept a holder. I gave it to a friend who was badly in need of it.

Thanks everybody,I think I will just keep it and use it! I have some heavier load bushings but I will look for some lower end bushings for my Bullseye loads!
