I Need Some Cast Bullets
I cast my own bullets ( .44-.45 ) but I now want to get back into shooting .38/.357 using commercial cast bullets from a company that sells them both hard cast for high velocity and medium hard for the mid range loads.
Can someone post some links to some recommended companies ?
Up until a few years ago I use to use Bullseye Bullets . They were local and it was nice not having to pay shipping but he has since retired .
Thank you,
Nick

Missouri Bullet Co. offers different hardness grades. Many folks here recommend them, and I tried their product and like it. Great service.

+1 on Missouri Bullets. I have been using them for years and have always been happy. The bullets are great quality.

Try Georgia Arms- I picked up some 125 and 158 at the last gun show-about $27/500 I think.

Give PennBullets a try. Bob Palermo is a gem to work with. If you have difficulty measuring the diameter of a slug from a 5 groove bore, he will measure them for you. He sizes a number of different diameters.

Another vote for Missouri Bullets, they have the different hardness you want, ship fast using USP flat rate boxes, and have a quality product at a fair price.
I have used the 9mm, 44, and 45 bullets, never been disappointed.

Another + for Missouri Bullets. Lots of choices. Just what you need and FAST. Some places I've ordered from take literally months to ship the orders.

Since National Bullet Company decided to quit making good bullets and start making screws(to be used on the customer) and then went out of business I have used nothing but Penn Bullets. If you want to run them hard get the Premiums. I run the CTC's at 1400 from a l.o.n.g 686 and don't need to scrape lead; super accurate to boot. They also make another grade to be used in slower loads. Be warned: they aren't a fast delivery but in my mind they are worth the wait; when I get down to a few K I order so I'm certain not to run out! And the owner is great to deal with.

Well, since no one has mentioned it, I like MY OWN!
When you folks were struggling to find projectiles, I had them. When the supplier ran out of the hardness of the ones you always USED to shoot, I had the same hardness, or any hardness I wanted or needed. When those "boutique" bullet makers where swamped with orders they couldn't fill, I had plenty of the EXACT bullets I wanted, when I wanted them.
If I was out, I simply went to the garage and made more. Took some time, not too much, and I had just what I wanted when I wanted them and they were the exact bullets that I had worked all of my loads up with!
Now, I don't know about you but that is a WIN/WIN in my book!
A Lee mould, a Lee bottom pour pot, a pair of welding gloves, your neighbor's wheel weights and you are in business!
Just kidding about the wheel weights!
Seriously, with the events of the last year or two why wouldn't you look into having at least one caliber that you could cast for? Get a revolver and a carbine in the same caliber and a single mould. Buy your lead on ebay or from an online source. You may not save money, it depends on how much "into it" you get BUT you will have what you want when you want it. The price for that?
PRICELESS!

I believe you have some options for bullets cast in Florida, if you don't want to pay shipping...
There are these guys in Melbourne, and I've shot some of their bullets, which have been very accurate: <style> </style> SPACE COAST BULLETS
Here's another company I found by searching the net in Valrico FL, and you may want to give them a call...
Bullseye Bullets
1610 S.R. 60, #12
Valrico, FL 33594
(800) 741-6343
There is a good chance that either one of these company deliver close to you, or might exhibit at a gunshow near you so you could pick them up there without paying shipping.
Another great one to try if you want to order some in is Tennessee Valley Bullets - Jessie makes some darn great stuff- soft or hard, as you want it if you order enough of it.
I mostly shoot low velocity target stuff, and rarely if ever push anything very hard- so finding casters that cast it soft enough for my needs is paramount- many cast very hard for guys that want to push it hard, even wadcutters.

+1 for Dardas and +1 for Missouri Bullet Company.
Darda's will ship all that fits in a flat rate box and they wrap things up so it will make the trip.
Missouri bullet Company also sells though Graf and Son's who have very reasonable shipping prices.

Anyone else use or tried Oregon Trail Laser Cast bullets? The 45 cal 180grain LSWC work really well for me in my plate and bullseye guns. They are very hard, lead very little, and are very accurate.
I am going to try some 115 and 145 grain LRN 9mm bullets from them at the range tomorrow.

I believe I can satisfy all of my cast lead bullet needs with Missouri Bullet and Leadheads. In the past I've also received complete satisfaction from Tennessee Valley, Dardas, and Mastercast. For soft swaged bullets, I buy from Speer.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned my favorite source - outside of my own garage, that is.
Precision Delta - Competition Ammunition
Good folks to deal with, good products. I really like their 115 FMJ 9mm. And their lead 158 SWC is quite accurate.

You might want to look here: mastercastbullets
BHN 14 .38 caliber 158 grain SWC bullets at $44.00 per 1000.
.45 caliber 230 grain RN BHN 14 bullets at $64.07 per 1000.
That is .com not .net.

Just found this place this weekend.
<www.alphabravobullets.com>
A very nice guy to do business with, and casts both "hard" (Lyman#2) as well as "soft" bullets. A number of different sizes and styles, and will ship. Hedoes mostly shows in central and eastern Pennsylvania, Maryland and thereabouts.

LaserCast, Miester or Penn. But if you go with Penn be prepared to wait awhile. All make excellent bullets and each has some bullet types the others don't have. I use 9mm, 38/357, 10mm and 45 bullets from them. Penn has a 115 grain LSWC in 9mm while Miester has a 150 grain LSWC in 9mm. LaserCast makes outstanding 180 grain 45 LSWCs. Like others said Penn will custom size bullets too.
