Comments on: Prvi Partizan Brass???
.30 Carbine:
I'm thinking I may not buy brass...it's $181 to buy 1,000 pcs of brass & $126 to buy 1,000 bullets (110 gr. FMJ)...$307 delivered.
It's about $400 to buy 1,000 rounds - LOADED.
I'm trying to do the math...if I buy loaded ammo, I get to re-use the brass a number of times.
If Prvi Partizan brass is good stuff...I get to shoot first...and have my brass and then buy bullets after the ammo is gone...
Decisions, decisions!!
Any thoughts on my "grand idea"...?
Bob

Their .38spl brass is pretty good stuff. It reminds me of the brass from m-41 US military ammo.

Your math is good, and I would agree with buying the loaded ammo. I did a quick Google search on reviews and they are favorable. i can not post the links as they are to other web sites.
The companies site is here and they have been making ammo a long time.
I would go for it!

I use there 7.62 x 54r and X39 brass for several years with no issues. Poly Gun Bag has some good prices on 30 Carbine LC brass an surplus pulled bullets.

I've used plenty of Prvi brass in the past, it's good stuff. The Prvi 30 carbine load is good too. I'm in the same boat, I need to start reloading for 30 carbine but just can't bring myself to invest all that time and money into it right now. My LGS has Prvi 30 carbine for fairly cheap and I just buy that and stash the brass for later. I ran a sampling across the chrony, comes in at 1990 fps which is almost exactly on USGI spec. Accuracy is acceptable from my worn out NPM. No malfunctions in several hundred rounds.

Thanks guys!! I saw that Wiedners had 1,500 rounds for $480....so I bit. I'll be set on brass and will have lots of blasting for my new (to me) Quality Hardware M-1 Carbine (pic attached). If I loose a few cases (always do with semi-autos) I will have plenty.
Now to find a home for my old Inland/GM M-1...need to make more room!
I think I'll use my 650 Dillon for this ammo (when I actually start reloading)...I have an extra quick-change that's in need of a caliber. Straight wall cases go nice in the 650.
Again...MANY thanks.

I've been reloading Prvi brass in .7mm-08 Rem for the past two years and have found it to be of good quality. Some are on their fourth reload and holding up well.

Prvi brass is of good quality, reasonably priced, and available in calibers that no-one else supplies, eg. 8x56R.
I have no experience with their 30-Carb brass, but would it expect it to be made of good alloy and properly annealed.
Their first attempts at the US market in the 80s were odd, eg. making 45ACP ammo with small primer pockets. I found that out the hard way.
I still segregate the Cyrillic-PPU marked pistol brass from other makes, and then check the primer pockets.

LT,
Good thoughts. I will watch and see how this 30 Carbine brass holds up.

I thought about it last night, or this morning after I signed off.
But as you bought it already, I guess it doesn't matter now.
I sure hope it doesn't have a military crimp.
I bought a case of PMC 223 ammo, thinking the same as you, I will have all this brass to reload. It's got the damn military crimp. Yes, it can be removed, but what a pain. So that case turned into my blasting ammo and leave it at the range for some other scrounge (like me) to pick up.
