Default Lee turret press question

Okay, here's a stupid question. I have a lee classic 4-hole turret press. How do I change out turrets?

Rotate the turret counter-clockwise about 1/2" and lift up.

Do you have the instruction manual...? If not, go online, or contact Lee, it will make your life a lot easier...

Also make sure the handle is up where it won't engage the ratchet when you rotate it otherwise you may strip the ratchet.

Not a stupid question; lots of mechanical devices can have us scratching our heads if the design isn't readily apparent.

patjucrv answered it. Once you have removed the one you want to replace, just set the next one on top and rotate it until it drops in. You'll have to align the top of the indexing rod(or whatever the proper name is) underneath with the square recess in the center of the turret.

Thank you very much for the speedy help!

Quick follow up tho... is "counterclockwise" necessary or will a partial rotation clockwise line it up for removal as well?

I appreciate the help, the minimal instructions that came with it didn't address changing the turret out. I looked for better info on the Lee website, but I must've missed the correct pdf to download.

Either way will work. Just make sure the lever is partially down. You will also notice a little spring loaded pin or "nipple" on the inside of the turret(the press part) where the turret plate goes in. You need to push down a little to push that pin in . Its what keeps the turret locked in.

Basically just fiddle with it while pushing down and moving the ram a little up or down while turning the turret plate a bit You will feel it line up and snap in.

Easier done that said

A similar question. Where does the little round plastic disk go?

Not sure what part you mean. Some of the parts are for the primer feeder, which you may not have bought.

The instructions are next to worthless. You need a maginfying glass to see the pictures.

Just make sure not to force anything. They are like Chinese finger puzzles. If you force anything you risk breaking it.

I am not sure either, can you describe it better?

If you're by chance talking about the dime-sized plastic ratchet disks, there should be one already in the machine and one or two extras in the package.
