I’ve used one of the rcbs dispenser/scale combos for around 5 years now. Never a problem, extremely accurate and fast. When I first got it I was using a tri beam to check it all the time. I found that it was very consistent and more importantly correct every time. After I got used to using it I found that I could trust the scale just by putting the small powder cup catcher back on the scale.

After the scale is calibrated a small cup is set on the scale to catch the powder. The scale is zeroed after the empty cup is set on the scale. If the scale doesn’t go back to zero every time the empty cup is put on it, there’s something wrong. My rcbs hardly ever loses its zero like other models do that I’ve read about.

When I was looking into buy one my main concern was safety not money. I didn’t want something that I’d have to check/test what it was doing every 10 throws or so. Or have to pull bullets every run to be on the safe side.

After 1000’s of rounds of ammo loaded with my rcbs, I can say that I have complete confidence in it. It’s a dream for doing test loads, just punch in what you want, hit the button & make up as many as you want to test.

I havw a Lyman DPSII and like it a lot. I always set my RCBS 750 scale up next to it and double check every 10 drops or so per batch I am working on, There is a difference of 1/10th of a grain between the two scales at any given time. Once you get a rythm going you can move along at a good clip, I only use the Lyman when I am reloading 100 rounds or less or am working up control batches for accurracy. I then finish the load sequence on my RCBS Rockchucker, The rest of my loading is done on a Dillon 550b when I need to make large batches.

I have the Lyman 1200 DPS III. It is very accurate and moderately fast. I use it all the time. Every time I check it with the weight check set, it is right on. It does have a 30 minute warm-up period. The only drawback I've found is the chute for emptying the powder out is not the best. When emptying, it works best if you put the unit on the edge of a table backwards with the chute facing you. I'd give mine an 8+ out of 10.

I switched from a RCBS 10-10 beam scale to a Dillon digital scale about 10 years ago and two years ago I switched to the RCBS dispense/scale combo.

I used the RCBS when I am loading small amounts of handloads for load development to establish what I want to set my Dillon's powder dumps for or when I am loading long range precision rifle rounds.
FWIW I still have all three scales and used them to countercheck the scale weights
