Default Scored some Trail Boss today!

Found an unopened 5 lbs. jug on a local forum and met the guy today and got it for $115 which seemed like a good price after looking online. I've never used it but I'm starting to load for 44 special and thought this would work well. I've read that it works well for low velocity loads in 38 Special and 357 mag. Should last me awhile.

For best results with Trail Boss, seat bullet base 1/16"above powder. NEVER compress this powder, it will do bazaar things! I use it for lower velocity pistol and rifle rounds. I have a 38-55 Win. 20 shot group in less than a dime at 100 yards, with iron sights (Globe and Tang) from my modern made 1885 High Wall. Trail Boss meters well out of most powder measures (avoid the plastic ones because of static charge, that will make charge erratic). Have Fun! Ivan

+1;
From a case just 50% full to just under a Lead bullet has worked for me in all my 38 special and 357 magnum target loads.
Even works well in a J frame snub with the 125gr to 158gr lead bullets.

You will have lots of fun and enjoyment with all that powder.
You did well.
