I only have 20 moulds but can cast fir every weapon I own. And can Do quite a few for the same guns. Also vary size for same bullets so the same mould can be used in differant calibers.
{ie} 380/9mm/38 and 357 share same moulds just need different sizer/lube dies
Can use the same 45acp in 45 Colt or vise versa

Very nice. I started casting around this time in 2009. Only handgun though. Hope to add rifle someday.
My most successful has been the Lee 358-140-SWC. Used in both .38 and .357. I have shot many hundreds without any leading at all.
I think I own that same 115RN 9MM mold as the original poster. It's my next one to try and dial in for use in IDPA.

Those look pretty good!!! I'm struggling to find that same rifle mold to cast for .308 and .30-06 and I'm itchy to get it... It's supposed to be on backorder but coming at some point. I bet you are asking yourself the same thing most of us new casters ask... Why didn't we start doing this sooner?!?!?!

Casting maybe a NEXT YEAR PROJECT, and I've started reading and doing some studying about it

I have been reloading for about a year now and enjoy "playing" at the bench and I want to try casting bullets as well. I have a question. There is a big pile of lead at the indoor range I shoot at, could that be melted and recast into new bullets? I assume there is a lot of copper mixed in, does that interfere with the casting?
To stay on topic, cool pics 340six.

Whether plating or actual jackets, the copper/gilding metal melts at a much higher temp than the lead, so floats to the top as pieces where it is easily skimmed off when fluxing.
