I have finally gathered 100 nickel plated Starline brass, and primed them with Winchester small rifle primers. I also have on hand 100 Magtech 98 grain lead round nose bullets. I also have on hand Bullseye and Unique powders. The data that came with my Lee dies, and the data in my Lyman Cast Bullet manual show a BIG difference in loads.

Got any suggestions?

Don't use the dipper. BE max is 3.2, Unique 4.2 gr. for 100-115 gr, bullet.

2400 is OK, not terribly efficient for the cartridge though. H110/296, same thing, is designed to operate at much higher pressures than are appropriate for anything except full pressure loads in magnum cartridges, 32,000 PSI and higher. It becomes erratic at much lower pressure than this and has been known to destroy revolvers when reducing loads due to this. 32,000 PSI is over double the SAAMI pressure standard for .32-20.

Great shooting in my M&P 4 inch.
I used Lee dies, including the Lee Factory Crimp Die....and am VERY pleased with the results.....this will be my go to load unless I can come up with a good LilGun load

I posted the 3.5 grn Unique load last week, I just bumped it up to 4.0 grns of Unique behind a 115 grn LFP bullet, and I am even happier.
4.0 gives gives it better accuracy and more "ummph" to the little 32-20 with zero danger signs....
Next I will work on Lilgun loads...and maybe some of my surplus powder loads as well

I kind of wonder about the maximum Bullseye loads. I tend to agree that there is no reason to push pressures on nice old guns, but those of us with mid to late 1920s S&Ws probably have pretty strong revolvers. I'd suspect the light max loads published are for safety with clunker off brand guns, and early S&Ws without the heat treated cylinders.

I just loaded up a mess of 100gr Remington bullets, and I used 3.0 gr of bullseye. We'll see how they do because I have a bunch of brass prepped and last month I scored a box of 2000 Remington bullets.
