I am a Dillion guy but I got a set of Hornady dies in a trade. They came with no instructions. Can someone tell me which die does the crimp?

If you have a 3 die set, it is the one with the knob at the top with the o-ring for setting bullet depth. The 3 die set seats the bullet and crimps the casing in one step. The flat-top die is for flaring and the one with long thin "probe" is for decaping and resizing.

Setting the die is a two step process, firstly with the outer crimper only touching the casing, turn in the bullet seater knob until you get the proper COL. Once this is done, this is your "master." Put another empty casing in your press, back out the bullet seater knob, and screw in the crimper until it touches the top of an uncrimped case. Remove the casing, screw the crimper in 1/2 to a full turn and that should give you a nice crimp. Now, put your master back in the press, crimp it and then turn in the bullet seater until it touches the top of the bullet. Now you should have a proper length and crimped round.
